SeoulGlowClub is an independent K-beauty media operated from Seoul, written for English-speaking readers worldwide — from the US and UK to Southeast Asia and beyond. We exist because most K-beauty content online is influencer marketing dressed up as a review. We do the opposite: ingredient analysis against Korean cosmetic regulations, honest pros AND cons, and a clear, no-hype path to buy.
Who writes this
SeoulGlowClub is written and edited by Mina Seo, a Seoul-based K-beauty writer and researcher. Mina is a writer, not a dermatologist or a paid spokesperson — her job is to read the ingredient lists, check them against Korean regulations, and gather what real buyers actually report, then translate all of it into a plain, honest recommendation. Living in Seoul, she also does the one thing most English-language sites can't: surface Korean products that are everyday staples here but almost unknown abroad.

How we research (and what we don't do)
We don't run a lab, and we don't pretend to. We don't claim to personally wear-test every product for weeks. Instead, every SeoulGlowClub article is built from three honest inputs:
- Ingredient analysis — cross-referenced against KFDA (Korea Food and Drug Administration) registered ingredient lists and INCIDecoder.
- Aggregated, verified buyer reviews — we read across multiple retailers to find the consistent, repeated experiences (not a single cherry-picked five-star).
- Korean-market context — what these products actually are in Korea, how they're positioned, and what a Western blog usually misses.
Where a product is widely reported to behave a certain way — including in hot, humid climates — we say so and cite it, and we flag what's marketing hype versus what's actually documented.
How we use AI:We use AI tools to help research, draft, and cross-reference public sources at scale. Every piece is governed by our editorial standards — fixed sourcing rules, a no-fabrication policy (we never invent tests we didn't run), and automated checks that block unverified claims before publishing. AI helps us read more; the standards decide what gets published.

- Korea-only finds — beyond the products everyone already covers, we surface Korean staples that are barely known outside Korea but available worldwide, so you discover things a Western search would never show you.
Editorial standards
Every article follows a consistent standard:
- Affiliate disclosure shown clearly (top, mid-body, and footer)
- At least 5 external sources cited per article
- Zero medical efficacy claims — we never use "treat", "cure", or "prevent"
- Neutral, inclusive language for all skin tones
- Pregnancy and allergy cautions where relevant
- Recommendations matched to skin type and need — never "everyone should buy"
What we cannot do
SeoulGlowClub is a media publication, not a medical authority. We do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. Severe skin concerns (cystic acne, suspected fungal acne, eczema, rosacea) require a licensed dermatologist. Our articles consistently direct readers to seek medical care when appropriate.
